Being involved with Trees for Life opened the door to the flora of South Australia for Bill, my husband and I. Here on the South Coast there are many people with a marvellous knowledge of the flora and fauna of the Fleurieu. Those same people are unfailingly generous in sharing their knowledge. We are encouraged to see more species of birds on our small property as trees shrubs and grasses afford more shelter. Bush for Life is a wonderful way of getting out to share bush experience and continually learn. The South Coast is an area of exceptional beauty: the Heysen Trail, the Conservation Parks, the beaches, the Coorong - we have it all. Bush walking here is a joy. In a small orchard we have fruit and vegetables. South Coast U3A is a great asset within this community and through that great friendships are made. We just need more than 24 hours in the day!
