About the South Coast Environment Centre (SCEC)

LORRAINE COCKS

Lorraine moved to Victor Harbor 20 years ago. She designed and developed a permaculture property on a one hectare paddock on the outskirts of the township. She has moved house since and is applying the same design principles to her ‘suburban’ block on the banks of the Hindmarsh River at McCracken. Her joy is gardening and her passion to support sustainable living within the local community brought her to the Management Committee of SCEC 6 months ago. Her origins are in nursing but her career has revolved around workplace health and safety over many years in a range of occupational settings, currently a large senior school. One of the projects she is involved in is the establishment of a ‘Repair Cafe’ on the South Coast.
