About the South Coast Environment Centre (SCEC)

Anita Leak

has been involved in the Centre since its inception in 2012 as the Victor Harbor Natural Resource Centre. Anita is a retired teacher, moving to live in Victor Harbor nine years ago. Since moving to Victor Harbor, Anita and her husband have enjoyed being VH Coastcare volunteers, playing golf, bike riding, kayaking, walking, pilates, yoga and going to the gym. As a teacher, Anita was passionate in educating children about looking after the environment and sustainable living. Being invited to be the Chair of a steering committee to set up a Natural Resource Centre funded by the NRM Board was an exciting prospect. To see the (now) South Coast Environment Centre flourishing and settled in a dedicated office is hugely satisfying.
